Make me quiet.
Teach me to listen to your voice around me:
the hungry people,
the victims of injustice,
the searching souls with thirsty hearts.
May I follow your example of finding moments away from the crowd,
and when I am in your presence help me not to evade the slightest whisper from you.
Awake within me a desire for silence, so that I may come to know your voice and find you in the stillness.
